“This is our fifth charitable gift annuity with VNS Health. These are easy to set up, give us additional income for the rest of our lives and, as we have directed, will continue to help finance VNS Health’s professional, compassionate hospice and palliative care for our fellow New Yorkers that need it.”

“In January 2009, Jen’s late husband was sent home from the hospital with support from the hospice team from VNS Health. He was dying of brain cancer and over the next six weeks, the VNS Health Hospice team was there with compassion to help our family deal with his end-of-life care. The two of us have been staunch supporters of the organization ever since. We enjoy attending the annual golf outing and gala benefit every year, learning about how our contributions can go to supporting other families and the broad breadth of services that VNS Health provides. We recently updated our wills and included VNS Health as a beneficiary knowing it can have an even larger impact for such an effective and meaningful organization so they can continue their important mission.”

For 21 years, I’ve supported various VNS Health community programs, especially the Bronx Nurse Family Partnership. This program empowers young mothers with vital child-rearing support, helping them navigate the medical system and advocate for their children in the best way possible. Together, we’re nurturing the future of our community.”

“When a program works, it works. I decided to support VNS Health’s Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship Training Program because I know the huge difference it makes to people in need. The program places physicians, pharmacists, and social workers in home hospice care teams, serving thousands of patients, many of them from minority communities, while educating healthcare professionals in the value of home hospice care. The Heidi Paoli Fund has supported this program since 2014.”
