VNS Health held the VNS Health 2022 Golf Classic at one of the country’s premier “classic courses”, The Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, NY.
The event raised funds for the VNS Health Veterans Program, which advocates for our veterans and honors them with our specialized expertise across disciplines.

VNS Health is thankful to our veterans and proud to support their health care needs.
Past funds from this event have made a profound and distinct difference to the veterans we serve, enabling us to grow our services by adding team members, expanding from Hospice into Home Care, and merging our Hospice and Home Care Veterans Programs into one unified and more efficient VNS Health Veterans Program.
VNS Health Veterans Program: Home Care
The VNS Health Veterans Program provides veterans and their loved ones with a skilled veteran liaison, who will assist and guide them with accessing the many benefits and services available through the Veterans Administration (VA).
- Education and assessment about VA benefits and eligibility, as well as advocacy aimed at securing eligible VA benefits and services
- Guidance with connecting to veterans programs and services available through VNS Health
- Help from dedicated veteran liaisons who have a unique understanding of veterans’ needs—because they are veterans themselves!
- Support for short-term and long-term chronic health care needs

VNS Health Veterans Program: Hospice Care
As part of the We Honor Veterans program, VNS Health provides culturally sensitive community-based hospice care to address the unique physical, emotional and logistical needs of military veterans and their families at end of life. In addition to providing clinical care, we help connect veterans and their families with community resources and veteran-specific benefits. We have special training to address the needs of combat veterans from all wars (with a focus on Vietnam War–era veterans) and to deal with service-connected disabilities among all veterans of the United States military, and we are able to hold bedside recognition ceremonies that honor their military service.
